Alternate version. Technical difficulties.

I was only too happy to fill in for DJ Kittenmouse on Monday night. I actually think it's one of the best shows I've done so far, definitely one of the smoothest. If you're interested in listening, it's not in the Better Get It archives, it's with Kittenmouse's (9-10 pm). Added a few more beats than normal...something to, you know, get those younger kids listening.

Speaking of smooth, last night's regularly scheduled show was anything but...something happened with the turntable/DJ mixer about halfway through (don't ask me what. I bumped it or something.) and every time I went to play an LP, what came through was a bunch of static/interference and no music; meanwhile, I couldn't hear this, because the headphones weren't working. Atta way to keep those loyal listeners hanging in there!

Seriously, I have had all kinds of problems with the turntables. It's just as well I don't have a DJ name, because I am one flunky of a DJ.

But when the music's coming through, it's hella good stuff. (That's not meant as some kind of strut - it's not like I made any of it myself.) Cut through the static, excuse the Amateur Hour follies, and get it all in your soul.
