Florida Georgia Line dropped by the Sunlight Supply Amphitheater this last weekend on their Smooth Tour. It consisted of other country artists Chris Lane and Russell Dickerson. Nelly was on the original lineup as well but unfortunately had to cancel. The event was brought to you by Live Nation.
The first artists to come on stage were Russell Dickerson and Chris Lane. I think it’s interesting to note that Russell Dickerson would refer to the crowd as “Washington” (Where the amphitheater is located) and Chris Lane would call the crowd “Portland,” where a majority of the audience was from. Russell Dickerson put on an amazing opening act. I’m surprised a country singer as energetic and eccentric as he is isn’t headlining his own tours. He would repeatedly express gratitude to all the fans who came early to see him and ended his set with arguably his most famous song “Yours” off his upcoming album Yours. Chris Lane followed and also put on an amazing performance.
Next up to close out the show were the country legends themselves, Florida Georgia Line. Starting their set with “Cruise” one of their greatest hits. Lead singers Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley throughout the show would express their gratitude to the crowd especially since it was a cold and somewhat rainy night and the venue was only partly undercover. Their songs were nostalgic, the stage production was amazing and their performance was unforgettable.
