The Nobody Safe Tour dropped by the Sunlight Supply Amphitheater this last weekend. It consisted of the four American rappers Future, Young Thug, ASAP Ferg, and Zoey Dollaz.
The first to come out on stage in front of a packed amphitheater was Zoey Dollaz. Beforehand the crowd was eagerly waiting to finally start dancing and Zoey Dollaz definitely set the bar high for the rest of the evening, especially when he performed his most famous single “Blow A Check.”
ASAP Ferg came up next and he kept the energy as high as possible. After performing his first song he climbed off the stage, jumped the railing and performed his next three songs in the crowd mosh-pit style. Each song seemed to grow more intense each time.
Up next was Atlanta rapper/fashion icon Young Thug. His performance was thrilling and filled with his charismatic personality. The crowd loved his (probably weed-induced) mumbling rap style, but nothing compared to when he performed “Pick Up the Phone”, a song with rappers Travis Scott and Quavo that had everyone’s phone in the air recording one of his most well known songs to date.
Last but certainly not least to finish up the show was the man himself, Future. From famous hits like “Low Life” with The Weeknd and “Jumpman” with Drake, it was a very high energy performance that didn’t stop for any breaks. To open his set, Future appeared at the top of a giant staircase before descending to the center of the stage. “Future” and “Hndrxx” (a homage to the rapper’s rock star idol Jimi Hendrix and the name of his latest album) signs were prominently displayed. Giant LED screens behind the staircase and zig-zagged above the stage displayed pre-recorded video throughout the night. Fans knew the words to every word of every song he performed. He of course ended the night with his current hit single “Mask Off.” A perfect way to end a high energy tour.
