SECRETS

FFO: Like Moths To Flames, Woe, Is Me, We Came As Romans, The Word Alive Jonny Craig

SECRETS stopped by Portland’s Analog Theater on The Beautiful Death Tour with Slaves, Out Came The Wolves and local acts Impulse and Cascadia on September 27 2017. Picturesque (Another band on the tour) couldn’t make it due to issues with their van. This was an all ages event brought to you by kingbanana presents.

The show started with opening artists Cascadia and Impulse who are both local acts from Portland, and also Out Came the Wolves who are part of the tour. Each coming with their own beautiful melodies and hardcore “screamo” breakdowns.

When the clock struck 8:20 the Californian legends themselves, SECRETS came on stage and immediately performed music from their 2015 album Everything That Got Us Here. For a band that has a lot screaming vocals in their music they managed to have a decent size mosh pit in a venue as small as the Analog Theater. For a venue that is known for it’s intimate atmosphere and no barricades, a mosh pit that big surely affected all the fans which made for a rowdy but fun show.

The vibes the band brought out with their music and when they were speaking to the audience was unbeatable, their presence and their music was a lot of fun for the audience and the bandmates themselves. The Analog Theater was screaming with excitement when they performed arguably their most famous single to date, “Incredible” towards the end of their set. Everyone towards the front was singing every word.

SECRETS was the final opening band before headliners Slaves came out to close the show.
