Tariq’s Picks: WARPED TOUR 2017 REVIEW + PHOTOS

FFO: Devon Terrell, Dizzy Wright, Hopsin, KYLE
Warped Tour stopped by the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem on Sunday June 17 2017 and it consisted of 61 different artists at this particular stop. I had two specific picks that I chose to cover and the first one was rapper Futuristic who performed on the Journey’s left foot stage. Out of every artist I saw up until his performance at 5:10 in the evening his was the wildest. Futuristic kept the Warped Tour attendees who had been moshing and crowd surfing since 11am engaged and jumping up and down to his high energy rap concert. He closed out his set with his most famous song “The Greatest” and telling everyone to come meet him at his tent directly after his show.

Blessthefall

FFO: Escape the Fate, The Word Alive, Alesana, Of Mice & Men

My 2nd pick was American metalcore band Blessthefall who closed down the Mutant North Stage at 7:30pm. When they say they save the best for the last it definitely was true with this band. Lead singer Beau Bokan got up close and personal during their first song “2.0” (pictured below) off their sophomore album Witness. He is an eccentric singer and acrobat jumping onto every part of the stage and singing his heart out to the fans who have been on their feet all day this point. Blessthefall have been around since 2004 and are no strangers to Warped Tour, they showed the crowd one last amazing performance and didn’t back down just because it was the end of the day.
