OLD97’S

Hour 2 of the Old 97’s What’s in My Bag. Now back to my ramble.

OLD97’S

Without any kind of directed promotion of existence, it is virtually lost amongst the cacophony of content that is in the digital world. The Yoast SEO program we (kpsu) employ through our WordPress site helps you make the most of the built in marketing of markup language and algorithmic realities that drive web searches.

OLD97’S

While all this is a very practical reason to be writing this maddening string of words, there is yet something else that drive the why that I bother.

It’s become something of a practice; albeit one I’m still working on being simply consistent at, a discipline to one who is so extremely foreign to the concept.

OLD97’S

That actually isn’t accurate. I’m certainly not unfamiliar with discipline in its conceptual form. The idea, the purpose, the instrument … that discipline is to the human bent upon manifesting desires into form and matter, released from the prisons of the mind. All that I get. I understand. It is well within my comprehension. It’s the application where I’ve found myself; today and historically, overwhelmingly lagging.

OLD97’S

The recipe as to why is a cornucopia of reasons. Long is the list of myriad intellectual deficiencies, or perhaps they are the result of spiritual injuries which have gone unnoticed but have created situations that have left my machine aching to compensate. These well practiced compensations and defenses to protect the machine from further harm, were devised and instituted without the conscious self present in those board meeting where such plans were developed, and the decisions made to put them into the orders of execution. They were created and put into use by the machine by itself. And yes, I understand that the machine I speak of IS ME in a rather difficult to comprehend totality, but there it is, in black and white.
