Who knows what these kids will play...but they pick up the broadcasting thing quick!!!
Is this Music? is a radio show On KPSU 1450 AM that defies the laws of nature and sound, conversely the sounds of nature and the nature of sound, space and even, time. The forces at work behind this epic eclipse of noise are more mighty than even the mightiest sword and dwarf the combined magical powers of Ronnie James Dio and JRR Tokken

I personally really like Jello Biafra. I know I’m going out on a limb on this one; with the problems that rose up in the wake of DK disbanding, and then later the trial over the ownership of the back-catalog, many took that as the last final nail in the already putrescent coffin that was any shred of decency that punk rock used to have. But one forgets that punk in only just now reaching middle age, and the misdirected anger and “fuck all” attitude it used to have now has to change and evolve to be able to stay current and relevant in the time that’s passed.
out of 10Punk rock died when the first kid said "Punk's not dead. Punk's not dead."

Playing a mix of bargain basement LPs, sidewalk sale cassettes, merch bought at shows, field recordings, comedy, instructional materials, etc.-- as well as NEW music that the professor determines is not receiving its proper due.
Hosts Josh Gross (editor, the Rearguard, PSU's alternative newspaper) and Matt Petrie (former editor, the Vanguard, PSU's daily student newspaper) tackle campus news, politics and life.
The Mouthguard provides a forum for the Portland State community to discuss issues that impact them and to hear the story behind the story from the newsmakers themselves. Weekly guests from around the university provide commentary and insight into the week's top issues on campus from a multitude of angles and viewpoints, and take questions from the PSU community at large.
A sweet new album is also featured on the show each week.
Some of the nations sports topics may be touched upon. PSU athletics is a primary target for discussion. Not just the 4 major sports (football, baseball, hockey, basketball). If you play sports in the state of Oregon, I will find you. A call in showl with at least one live and/or pre-recorded interview each week.
This show is a place for different DJs to showcase programming that you won't find anywhere else. From in-studio performances, old episodes of our favorite programs, or produced pieces for one-time broadcasting, this show is an ecclectic mix of what our station offers every single week.
