Album Review: Devi 2000 Prepare Your Soul to Dance

Devi 2000 is Chicago’s premier kirtan group who regularly performs at the Moksha Yoga Center.
I really appreciate the idea behind creating a remix album to accompany the Devotional album (please also see my review of this album). This is a fun and upbeat mix, good for a social event. My experience with kirtan has been the more action the better i.e. get up and dance! Of course sometimes it is nice to sit and sing but I have more fun in motion. Since my show tends to more on the traditional end of the spectrum I might have to have a special show so I can play this one. This cd pairs well with Jai Uttal’s M is for Mantra and Vedic Empire. My favorite track is Om Namah Shivaya – Radiohiro Remix.
