Celebrate Benjy & Heather’s long-awaited follow up to Love Window with a reception and Kirtan CD Release party at Amrita: A Sanctuary for Yoga. The CD, Śrī (pronounced Shree), carries the listener deep into the ocean of sacred chanting. From the ancient language of Sanskrit, the word Śrī is one of the many names of the Goddess and of the divine beauty of the universe. Benjy Wertheimer’s passion for Indian classical music emerges in his vocals, esraj and tabla and merges with world-wide influences on djembe, congas, frame drum, and other percussion. Heather leads the sacred chanting with her ethereal vocals from the heart and soul of devotion. Join us for a magical night of heart opening chanting.
