reviewing cd's

Reviewed 4 cd's: Gamelan X "Satu" - totally excellent world beat vibe. (Like Fela with gamelan) Wyclef Jean "Carnival Vol.II" Very nice 3 extended track cd.(sampled Sly & Robbie, Paul Simon, etcf.) Troubleman "'Sippi to the Chi" interesting cd single about how he became the greatest... & Night Sounds "Allergic to Heat" which I didn't care for at all - recorded live in Downtown Los Angeles - very noise oriented with "free jazz?" style overdubbed sax. I wouldn't recommend it. I've been in downtown LA and this cd captures the feelings and urban wasteland sensations very well (but I still don't like it.)
