Artstar

Artstar began in May 2002 as a response to the need for more visual arts coverage and from a desire to hear from the artists themselves. Artstar focuses on the individual, their process, their history and the business of art. Featured artists come from all styles and backgrounds. Occasionally I will have a curator, critic, writer or gallerist on the air, but I keep coming back to artists.

In the course of this program, I've interviewed about 200 individuals. Longterm goals are a book of collected and edited interviews, plus taking the show to a national level. I hope to build my archive of interviews to include artists from all over the country someday.
