Picture Perfect Part 2: Freestyle

The whole point of To Pimp a Butterfly was to identify the functions and livelihood of the Black community. This track puts things in perspective, it’s a damn shame a lot of people don’t see the sense of hope and infinite possibility expressed by Kendrick here.

Jazz rap probably ain’t ever coming back but let Digable planets and A Tribe Called Quest stand as an example of true innovation with the tools available.
