check it out...
I also played St. Vincent's new single "Now, Now" off of her debut album Marry Me. It's wonderffffullllll!
And some other great stuff like the band from Pete and Pete, Polaris. Sweet.
They will be in Portland on August 3rd at The Crystal Ballroom. This song's off of their new album that comes out on the 24th, I believe. However, all of these dates and places could be wrong because I am not bothering to check so, make sure you do before relaying this info to others.
Also, some other good bands like...The New Pornographers, Piney Gir, Ugly Casanova (Isaak Brock's band before Modest Mouse), Riceboy Sleeps (a side project of Sigur Ros), Wolf Parade, and, you know....other people.
liiiisssttttteeeeennnnn.....
Tonight's special guest is Jason Segal (aka Nick Andopolis) from Freaks and Geeks with his magnum opus, "Lady L" written for his one true love Lindsey Weir. No, I do not ACTUALLY have Jason Segal on my show. No one is that cool (especially not me).
I do however have some classic music from Bush and Weezer and a Cure cover by The Smashing Pumpkins. As well as a culturally broadening experience with Carla Bruni, a French chick who sings songs that will make you want to have sex (because that's what the French language does...it makes you want to have sex).
