Hey Folks,

If any of you are familiar with Sire, Kranky, Tigerbeat, Ubiquity, and Merck records; I would greatly like some help on some good albums that I should look into.

So far; I have listened to the folowing groups from Sire: The Avalanches, some Aphex Twin, I know what Depeche Mode is all about, Laika, Ministry, Morcheeba, The Ramones, and Underworld. I am familiar with all of these artists; however, I don't know much about the other artists and albums.

For the other labels, I know about one or two artists from each label...I don't know what to get really, but I am going to go on a big CD burning binge soon!

Anyways, so I went to a new radio show at PRA radio (illegal pirate radio station located at www.praradio.org) on Wednesday last week...it was a great show for the most part (noon to 2pm). It's basically this station where you can come in late, and you don't really see anybody else there, and it's in this scuzzy $200/month studio space in some random building in downtown Portland. There's like Pidgeon's pooping in the open middle atrium part of the building (lots), and they have some crappy equipments (but some technics, with some shitty mixer, and decent CD players)...cigarrette butts and beer cans everywhere...people's signatures on the wall, however it's all connected to this 100-watt transmitter on some other neighboring building. I thought it was sorta cool and underground... I mean we do not advertise or anything like that.
