I will be having my last show on Sunday from 4 to 5 pm. I apologize for no new guests some cancellations and school issues have kept me from keeping the show current. However, this week, I plan to play some bits from my last few shows and give my goodbye. Thanks for all my listeners and the show may come back sometime in the summer. This last week Rock and Street Talk focused on the mobilization for the Oct 27th ralley in Seattle. This ralley may prove to be one of the largest antiwar protests since the war began and is working with 11 other cities to demonstrate their mission to stop the war. PDX Peace Coalition has made it their goal to bring as many Portlanders to Seattle to protest the war as possible. Candy Cruz is a volunteer with Dept of Peace & Nonviolence Campaign and the Portland City Council just passed a resolution to endorse the House Bill HR 808 which would create a national level Department of Peace and Nonviolence. She is excited on this new resolution and we will discussing what this means for the PDX peace movement and the city of Portland. Come listen in on the discussion!
